Understanding your career approach

In today’s globally integrated, tightly regulated and increasingly competitive business environment, one critical success factor stands out: people and unleashing their potential in the right direction.

Increasingly, I’m hearing that professional growth without an explicit link to development is a missed opportunity to embed future professional and leadership behaviours and to produce sustainable business results. This is why we need to systematically monitor and direct our career in order to harvest what we sew.

Proper Career discussions minimise the possibility of being diverted from the ideal career path and provide a comprehensive and multi-dimensional approach to the challenges of managing and developing individuals that is more scalable and reliable than any alternative undertaken on a more limited or localized basis.

We will focus on delivering 3 value propositions while emphasising valid career discussion

Alignment

Career development in the candidates should be aligned to delivering business goals, strategic change initiatives and behaviour toward the employer.

Engagement

Structured career discussion reveals what it takes to succeed and get to the next level, and provide clarity on what career options are available.

Engagement is a fundamental part of the new employee value proposition. A proper career development approach increases employee engagement with the company.

Capability

Structured career discussion improves the individual’s ability to deliver on the business objectives by focusing competence and skill on what is important. Proper career management and development help address many of today’s challenges (lack of reliability, predictability, integration, etc.) by enabling the better — more scalable, more reliable and more consistent — management and development of people, the most valuable asset of a company.

Each Career Development could be expressed by understanding and properly managing two characteristics.

Experiences are built by profession (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, etc.) but may also be sub-categorized. Experiences provide a roadmap for career and succession planning by informing career and next-move decisions, and providing a plan of development for high potentials.

Competencies are built by profession or role. Professional competencies differentiate outstanding performances from typical ones. Management competencies define outstanding managerial behaviour for management roles while the leadership competencies define outstanding executive behaviour for leaders at the senior level. Assessments against competencies provide gaps from which to drive development planning and inform the next job move, succession and career planning.

By properly understanding these two elements, we will be able to overcome potential gaps and steer your career properly.

Trusting your career to a professional will minimise your risk of becoming diverted from your true career path.

Our services
for senior professionals and executives

This service consists of 3 condensed steps, enabling you to get more for less.

Step 1 - Calibration and a CV sanity check

At first you will need to fulfill a questionnaire. As with every Career advisory process, the discussion starts with listening, evaluating, comparing and confronting you with up-coming challenges. Setting expectations, assessing your skills and competencies, strengths and weaknesses and establishing clear next steps would be our next stage. Afterwards we will check your CV and start improving it. We will show you how to structure a valuable CV with proper key words in place and how to still preserve your own style within it.

This service consists of 5 steps necessary to give yourself a stronger position on the labour market

Not every individual can present themselves as having an innate capability to do this. That is why we created a program that will help you improve your overall presentation approach.

Step 1 - Calibration

Career advisory discussion starts with listening and confronting up-coming challenges. Setting expectations and assessing your skills and competencies, strengths and weaknesses will be our main priority.

Step 2 - Intriguing interview(s)

Let’s see what you are made off. Can you argument every single career step and make sure you remain credible at the end? I will make sure. The first interview is just a sanity check and in the second one, we will make sure your credibility grows even more. Trust me, I’ve conducted several thousand interviews and I know what people need to hear.

Step 3 - CV enhancement

Every CV needs to be modified and customized per professional profile, industry and seniority. This is your entry point to be instantly recognised as an outstanding professional. I will train you how to make a CV with a true value proposition.

Step 4- Polishing interview

In the second round of interviews, we will need to show off your best. Afterwards, you are on your own. No more interrogating, advice only.

Step 5 - Go to a market approach

Let’s match your current capabilities with possible market opportunities and if we are not there, what we can do to get there in a timely manner.

This service consists of 5 steps that are necessary to understand your current status in order to act more efficiently on the labour market. These five steps will make you comfortable and confident when approaching future career challenges.
